Wedding Ideas
Now that you are engaged it is important to write down
every idea you and your future spouse have in mind for
the big day. Ideas from BOTH of you are important.
Simply follow our guide to help you with some of the
basics.
Wedding Guest List
When planning my wedding I typed up my entire guest list
with little check boxes beside each name and also
included the person’s phone number and/or email address.
Once I got an RSVP card back I checked the person’s
name. I also included a space for “Number Attending/Not
Attending”. Those that didn’t reply I simply referred to
my list and sent them an email or gave them a quick
call. I found this very handy when it came to crunch
time. It also helps with seating charts (if you use one)
for the reception and helps with the final count for
your caterer. You won’t have to save every single RSVP
card or risk losing one or two by the time the final
count is due.
Budget and Checklist
Below you will find everything I could think of for your
wedding. Once you have gotten that item just check it
off the list. The items that you don’t use/need just
cross off or leave blank. I have left spaces for notes
and some spaces to add items in that I may have
forgotten. Some items may require shipping costs, so be
sure to add that extra little bit to cover that. You
should also add in extra for Tips (for caterer, DJ, etc)
where applicable as well.
Contact List
You can save all important phone numbers, email
addresses, physical addresses and websites in this area.
Print them out the day before your wedding and put them
in your Emergency Kit.
Music for the Ceremony &
Reception
In this section I have listed some important times that
you will need special music for. Simply type in the song
of your choice with the artist (if applicable) and when
your Band/DJ asks for these all you have to do is print
it out and give it to them.
Bride’s Emergency Kit Checklist
I hate to be the one that tells you this, but, things
can happen on your special day that we just don’t want
to admit could happen. A snag in your nylons, chip in
your nail polish, eyeliner ran because Grandma Sophie
made you cry… anything! Every bride needs a little
emergency kit to take along with them the day of the
wedding. All these items can be packed in a separate
small bag and tag it “Emergency Kit” that way if
something does happen you can tell your maid of honor to
grab the Emergency Kit and all will be right in the
world again.
Questionnaires and Ratings
I have compiled a list of questions for Caterers,
Photographers, Videographers, Florists, etc. that you
can use as a guide when interviewing each vendor. I have
also included a “rating” chart for you to use as a
reference when making your final decision. Each
questionnaire and rating is 2 pages under each category.
You can print out as many copies as you need and take
them with you to each interview.
Gift List
In this section you can write down (or type) the gift,
who sent you the gift, and other information for each
gift you open. When it is time to write your Thank You
Notes you will be able to say Thank You for each
individual gift received.
